Game Day was added to our breeding program with much deliberation and thought over an eight month period. The first Game Day progeny we saw were at Sitz’s sale in the fall of 2007. His sons were thick quarterd, well balanced, attractive patterned calving ease bulls. In May of 2008 we traveled to Denowh’s to look at some two-year-old daughters by Game Day. We were very impressed; they had tidy, small, well attached udders with small teats uniform in size and placement. Plus they appeared to be very sound structured and good footed. Most importantly, they were very consistent in type just like their Sitz paternal brothers. Consequently, we used Game Day AI as an outcross to the vast majority of our pedigrees and a well proven calving ease sire. With over 50 calves born this spring, we had an excellent test of Game Day as a breeding bull and are quite excited. His sons are born easily, grow into heavy muscled, masculine, stout made calving ease bulls that are uniform and consistent in type. His daughters are very feminine and angular, but yet have plenty of body, substance and muscle. At this point is appears that Game Day will become a very valuable part of our program as an AI sire.
